Who’s Got Your Back as You Pursue Your Dreams?

What’s your biggest fear in life? Have you ever thought that the thing that scares you the most is maybe one of the things you (deep down in your heart) want to do the most? The dogs of doom stand at the doors of our destiny and they bark loud, my friends. The enemy wants to scare you out of the thing that you were made for, and he makes himself louder (and appears to be bigger) the closer you get to walking through the door to your life purpose.

I truly believe that what we believe to be our most fearful stumbling block is actually the door to our greatest victory. Furthermore, our destinies lie on the other side of fear. For example, I’ve heard of several people who are terrified of being on stage, with public speaking being their biggest fear. Often times those people have a calling to preach! So, we must choose to take courage and advance in the face of adversity to obtain the treasure of a fulfilling life. Check out this week’s Flashback Friday video:

In a nutshell:

• The place you experience resistance is often the place of your destiny!

• The devil knows more about your destiny than you do. He fears you most at your place of destiny.

• The idea isn’t to back up when you’re resisted, it’s to move forward.

WHO’S GOT YOUR BACK

As most of you know, we are not powerless victims! In fact, we were born to win. We don’t have eyes in the backs of our heads because we weren’t designed to backup, retreat, or lose ground. Furthermore, our arms were created to only work in front of us, building what’s before us. Our feet point forward and are incapable of swiveling rearward, making retreat a slow, difficult process. It’s all a sign of our Creator’s desire for us to gain ground and to live successful, productive lives. God is our rear guard, and we are to face forward.

So today I want to encourage you to look directly at the metaphorical door of your destiny, and take a step forward. Hold the truth in your heart that God’s got your back, and your job is to walk forward. I know this could feel so scary, but the things in life that are worth it often take courage. Fear is not your friend! But, God is your friend and He is covering you! Do any of you have a testimony of pressing through fear to find your destiny? If you haven’t had breakthrough towards that yet, what’s one thing you can do to take a step forward? Maybe your courageous step is just voicing your dreams. I’d love to hear where you’re at in the comments!

In a world more connected than ever through the internet and social media, the deep, authentic connection we all yearn for has become increasingly elusive. Created in God’s image, we instinctively desire to be known, loved, and belong, yet so many of us wrestle with invisible barriers that keep us isolated. What if the secret to breaking through these barriers lies not in more connections but in deeper, more meaningful ones with both God and others? How can we identify and overcome what prevents us from experiencing true connection in our daily lives?

In early December, I began seeking a prophetic word from the Lord for 2024. He told me, "I am not going to give you a word for 2024. Instead, I am going to give you a word for the Body of Christ for a new era." He explained that January 2024 would be a half-time; marking the closure of an era and the beginning of a new one. This period would be characterized by immense transition, culminating in the discipling of nations. A supernatural metamorphosis, metaphorically akin to a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, would occur right before our eyes.

Have you ever found yourself in the midst of life's chaos, desperately needing a break, clarity, and a spiritual reset? Picture it like halftime – that pivotal moment when the coach steps in, recalibrates the team, and sparks a turnaround. The game isn't over; this is a chance to come back stronger and claim victory! In recent weeks, a resounding message has been echoing in my heart and mind: January is the Church's halftime! Our divine Coach is calling us to the huddle, to draw close, and let Him fine-tune our game plan – our values, thoughts, and behaviors. Amid the noise, He's inviting us to step away, knowing that leaning into these divine moments will catapult us into the second half, ready for victory. And in this game, we already know the final score – He wins!
