God in the Entertainment Industry || the Prophetic Beyond the Pulpit With Katherine Warnock

THE PROPHETIC BEYOND THE PULPIT

Have you ever felt unsure how the prophetic operates outside of the confines of a church setting or prophetic gathering? Maybe you have even wondered if and how it’s possible to function in your gifting in the unique industry or sphere you feel called to.

I often see people count themselves out from the fullness of their gifting because it doesn’t look like the prophets or prophetic people that stand behind the pulpit making powerful prophetic proclamations. But, the truth is that all throughout scripture we see prophets prepare the way, influence cultural change, and minister to priests and kings. They were not subjugated to the confines of cultural comfortability or religious regularity but took the sword of the prophetic into places that despised the word of God to cut through cultural chaos with truth that changed history and saved entire nations.

I’d like to point out the story of Joseph - a hero of the faith; a prophetic protagonist. His journey was far from linear, striking every cultural custom and thought of how a “chosen” leader should be appointed. Yet, somehow it is still common to count yourself out from the call of God on your life as a prophetic person because you might not feel like “the rest.”

This is why I felt led to create a three-part Cultural Catalysts series to highlight diverse forms of the prophetic and interview individuals operating prophetically in different spheres of influence to inspire and ignite you with faith to see how God moves outside of the four walls of the Church. For the launch of this series, I sat down with Katherine Warnock, the President of Original Content for The Chosen.

Katherine shares a profound revelation of what is necessary for us as Believers to cultivate in order to be effective leaders in every industry. She stated that in Isaiah 54:2 we are commanded to extend our tent pegs so that others can come under and rest. She continued to exhort us as Believers by stating:
“We must create a dwelling of His Presence in our lives, without words, for others to come under and rest. If we as Christians understood that in the marketplace, we would be unstoppable.”

GOD IN THE ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

My prayer as you watch this week’s Cultural Catalysts episode is that you are encouraged and spurred on to carry the Kingdom of God into every sphere of society. That you begin to see how the Lord has strategically positioned you and has uniquely stationed you to not only carry His Presence but discover Heavenly solutions for the sphere of influence you are called to.

God has created you with a specific prophetic destiny! You were born for such a time as this.

SCHOOL OF THE PROPHETS

If you desire to refine your gifting, grow in confidence to prophetically spearhead the way of cultural change, and be empowered to influence the unique sphere you are called to- I want to invite you to the School of the Prophets on August 7-11, 2023. You can register for both in-person, in Redding Ca or online here.

It is time to break the silence, stand boldly in the dark places, and resound truth across the nations. God is calling His prophets to courageously prepare the prophetic path of divine providence. In this one-week intensive training school, you will gain an understanding of the prophetic gifting, the office of a prophet, and how to operate effectively in your unique prophetic calling. I hope to see you there!

Many of us have been misled into thinking that to love ourselves is a form of selfishness. Yet, what does Scripture really say? 'Love your neighbor as yourself'—this commandment from the Bible isn't just an instruction to love others but a divine mandate that ties our ability to love others to how much we cherish and accept ourselves. As we unpack this, let’s redefine what it truly means to love ourselves in the light of God's word, discovering how this self-love is not selfish but is actually the cornerstone of genuine relationships.

In a world more connected than ever through the internet and social media, the deep, authentic connection we all yearn for has become increasingly elusive. Created in God’s image, we instinctively desire to be known, loved, and belong, yet so many of us wrestle with invisible barriers that keep us isolated. What if the secret to breaking through these barriers lies not in more connections but in deeper, more meaningful ones with both God and others? How can we identify and overcome what prevents us from experiencing true connection in our daily lives?

In early December, I began seeking a prophetic word from the Lord for 2024. He told me, "I am not going to give you a word for 2024. Instead, I am going to give you a word for the Body of Christ for a new era." He explained that January 2024 would be a half-time; marking the closure of an era and the beginning of a new one. This period would be characterized by immense transition, culminating in the discipling of nations. A supernatural metamorphosis, metaphorically akin to a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly, would occur right before our eyes.
